A magnet made from Greenlandic sealskin, shaped like a cute heart. The magnet is made from heavy-duty steel and is very strong. ‘Great Greenland’ is engraved around the left-hand edge of the magnet. It can be used on fridges or other magnetic surfaces such as steel or similar materials.

All natural hides vary in colour shades and seal markings. If you have any specific requests regarding the look or appearance of your item, simply write them in the comments field on your order. We are pleased to welcome curious visitors, customers and tourists to our “GG Visitor Center – The Story of the Seal and Greenland”. In Qaqortoq, you will find both one of our sewing studios and our large tannery, where you can gain insight into the craftsmanship and production behind our products.

If you would like a company visit, a school visit or a guided tour, you are very welcome to contact us.

Monday – Friday 10 am – 4 pm
For cruise ship arrivals or other announced visits, we offer extended opening hours.

The story of sealskin is also the story of Greenland’s people; the Inuit. It is the story of a people living in harmony with nature. In modern Greenlandic society, the seal is still an important part of life and culture. Great Greenland has established a visitor centre to provide information about the seal and its uses. Visitors will understand the seal’s importance to the Greenlandic population through exhibitions and by visiting a living workshop.
