The fur used to make the seal skin rug is leftovers from our other production. Nothing should go to waste – sustainability is important for Great Greenland. From remnants to magnificence. A mix of natural harp shades that create a beautiful look.

We are pleased to welcome curious visitors, customers and tourists to our “GG Visitor Center – The Story of the Seal and Greenland”. In Qaqortoq, you will find both one of our sewing studios and our large tannery, where you can gain insight into the craftsmanship and production behind our products.

If you would like a company visit, a school visit or a guided tour, you are very welcome to contact us.

For cruise ship arrivals or other announced visits, we offer extended opening hours.

The story of sealskin is also the story of Greenland’s people; the Inuit. It is the story of a people living in harmony with nature. In modern Greenlandic society, the seal is still an important part of life and culture. Great Greenland has established a visitor centre to provide information about the seal and its uses. Visitors will understand the seal’s importance to the Greenlandic population through exhibitions and by visiting a living workshop.
