Children’s Shearling Mittens, Beige
Lovely warm shearling mittens for children from approximately 1-7 years old. See measurements for choosing the correct size.
The mittens are lovely and lined and can be used with a cute turn-up or pulled extra far up the hand.
Size 1-2 years is without a thumb, as this is difficult for children of that age. There is also no string in this size so the mittens can safely be used in the pram during naps.
Sizes 2-4 and 5-7 years are with a thumb and an elastic string sewn onto the mittens. The string allows them to be easily threaded through the child’s jacket at the arms and thereby stay attached, so the child doesn’t lose the mittens. If you do not wish to use the string, it can easily be cut off.
Measurements: All measurements are external measurements. It is important that the child has air around their fingers & hand, as mittens only provide optimal warmth with free movement. If the mitten is too tight, it will instead have a cooling effect.
1-2 years: 12 cm long (+ 4.5 cm if used completely without a turn-up.) 7 cm wide.
2-4 years: 12 cm long (+ 5.5 cm if used completely without a turn-up.) 8 cm wide.
5-7 years: 13 cm long (+ 6 cm if used completely without a turn-up.) 8 cm wide.
The turn-up can be used at full length or just half, which makes the size quite adjustable.
