Cushion cover made from coloured sealskin pieces, patchwork. 39×39 cm. (Fits a standard 40×40 cm cushion). The cushion cover measures approx. 39×39 cm. However, it should be used with a 40×40 cm cushion to ensure the sealskin is properly stretched. Sealskin on one side and durable, hard-wearing fabric on the other. Fastens with a zip at the back. A product that forms part of our sustainable story – our patchwork is made from seal leather offcuts from our other production. It adds a lovely touch to your home, and every single cushion is completely unique in its colour tones and markings.

We are pleased to welcome curious visitors, customers and tourists to our “GG Visitor Center – The Story of the Seal and Greenland”. In Qaqortoq, you will find both one of our sewing studios and our large tannery, where you can gain insight into the craftsmanship and production behind our products.

If you would like a company visit, a school visit or a guided tour, you are very welcome to contact us.

Monday – Friday 10 am – 4 pm
For cruise ship arrivals or other announced visits, we offer extended opening hours.

The story of sealskin is also the story of Greenland’s people; the Inuit. It is the story of a people living in harmony with nature. In modern Greenlandic society, the seal is still an important part of life and culture. Great Greenland has established a visitor centre to provide information about the seal and its uses. Visitors will understand the seal’s importance to the Greenlandic population through exhibitions and by visiting a living workshop.
